Enjoy a pleasant day at our private zeroing woodland rifle and airgun range.

For those using their own equipment, range hire is charged £15 per individual per hour (booking advised if full day required).

Experience Sessions – Air Rifle/pistol

Supervised use of an air rifle or pistol and 100 rounds on our woodland airgun range – £27 for the first hour. Additional range time with a further 100 rounds of ammunition charged at £19.00per hour.

Group Outing

An outing based on a group of four, shooting pistol and rifle for a two-hour session to include 200 rounds – £65.00 Safety glasses supplied. Instruction on the safe use of equipment given.

Experience Sessions – Rifle

Enjoy some firearm safety and familiarisation sessions at our House of Schivas woodland range.

Participants will have a supervised use of our woodland range. Rifles and ammunition provided. Additional ammunition may bepurchased@£10.00for50rounds.

• .22 Rim Fire

50 rounds of .22 rimfire ammunition £41.00

• Centrefire (Full bore) 100yd Range

10 rounds and a choice of calibre (.222, 22-250 or .243) £32.50 Additional 10 rounds £20.00

Clay Pigeon shooting

includes hire of shotgun, instruction, and some woodland snap shooting. 25 clays £43.00 pp We have a fully qualified shotgun clay instructor. If required £25 per hour. We also have an international coach available for persons wanting to go to very high levels – booking essential. This can be discussed on a one to one basis.

The whole day was very professionally organised with a reassuring emphasis on gun safety throughout.

Thanks once again to Mike and Graham for a superb day out. We had asked for a package combining clay pigeon and rifle shooting for 3 people as a gift for my son's 21st Birthday. We were looking for something more in depth than the half hour sessions offered by many activity centres. Mike certainly delivered with a brilliant package that lasted about 4 hours and was great value, even before considering the unexpected bonus guns that were included. The whole day was very professionally organised with a reassuring emphasis on gun safety throughout. Mike and Graham were great instructors, patient with us first time shooters and keen to share their enthusiasm, experience and coffee and sausage rolls in their bothy at half time. A great day out that I would definitely recommend. We'll certainly be back,

An informative, and easy going course that really introduced me (a novice) to what is required to safely handle firearms. Fantastic day yesterday with these guys doing the firearms handling and safety course very informative would highly recommend it. I’ve been a shooter for many years but really enjoyed this well worth the money if your a novice. Bit of range time as well which I don’t do enough of great way to sharpen your skills in a safe environment.

The semi automatic rimfire we had a shot of certainly put a smile on Roberts face haha

Just got back from the Rifle Safety and Fire Arms Training course with Mike and Dave at Ythan Field Sport Supply.

What a brilliant day. A really fascinating classroom input and superb session at the range with a selection of rifles and ammunition.

Mike and Dave not only know their stuff but can communicate it with clarity.

A worthwhile course if you are thinking of taking up the sport.

I have just completed my Rifle Safety and Firearms training with Mike and Dave. I am returning to shooting after many years and felt that a refresher course would be the best first option. I did not want to get into any bad habits.

The course was just what I was looking for, going through all the safety rules on how to use and prepare any firearm.

The first part of the course was a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation on the rules and safety on and off the range, along with questionnaire at the end (to make sure I was listening) it was quite informal but very productive.

Then on to the range, at House of Schivas for a variety of calibre shooting with further tuition

The course content and activities were far more than I had anticipated.

I selected the rifle safety/familiarisation course run by Mike and Dave as a step to building a portfolio of experience/evidence prior to applying for my own firearms license. The course content and activities were far more than I had anticipated. They put together a very detailed program followed by a considerable range of practical demonstrations and target practice in a variety of settings with various firearms. I really appreciated their close attention, patience, detailed knowledge and professionalism. As a non-native English speaker they were extremely accommodating to ensure I understood the subject matter. Mike and Dave clearly wanted to provide a professional, welcoming and supportive environment. The course is exceptional value and I came away feeling I had received a huge injection of knowledge. It was a perfect start. It gave me a lot of confidence and a hunger to continue. I look forward to going back to further my experience with the stalking opportunities that they also provide.
